About the Competition
Bioethics Bowl and Ethics Bowl are debate-style competitions for undergraduate students. Universities and colleges from all over the country participate. These events provide opportunities for students to learn more about contentious cases and moral quandaries.
Bioethics Bowl takes place every spring at the National Undergraduate Bioethics Conference, which means students have the benefit of being able to reflect on the topics in the richer context of an academic conference program. Bioethics Bowl is focused on ethical issues within medicine and public health policy.
Ethics Bowl has regional competitions followed by nationals, hosted by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics. Ethics Bowl cases cover a wide variety of contemporary issues that are morally problematic for professionals and the public at large.
